Dye Penetrant PCN Level 2

This course provides theory and practical work on test pieces and industrial components, with emphasis on interpretation of defect indications, also comparing sensitivity of the visible and fluorescent methods. Dye Penetrant Inspection is a widely applied and method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (i.e. metals, plastics, or ceramics) using dye. ECITB Medium Risk Confined Space

This course specifically concentrates on medium entries with adequate ventilation, natural or mechanical, where access is simple and unobstructed and there is no likely risk of flooding. Therefore it’s for entries deeper than 3 metres, with an unobstructed vertical lift, a straight ladder into a dark chamber. Delegates will be shown two methods of entry: staying on lifeline to complete the task, where if they collapsed the retrieval equipment would be operated and removal from the life line in where rescue team would be required.
