ITC First Aid At Work Level 3 (RQF) Refresher updates and refreshers knowledge of the first aid at work syllabus
Delegates will practice the techniques required for the practical assessment.
The course includes a practical, hands-on Automated External Defibrillator (AED) awareness session using trainer AEDs. This awareness element instils greater confidence in the use of AEDs.
Course Objectives
Delegates completing an ITC First Aid At Work Level 3 (QRF) Refresher training course will be able to;
- Refresh course topics previously taught on the three day first aid at work course
- Safely use an AED
- Demonstrate the appropriate level of first aid skills and knowledge during continuous practical assessments
Course Content
An ITC First Aid At Work Level 3 (QRF) Refresher training course includes;
- The role of the first aider
- Head injuries
- Managing an emergency
- Health and safety (first aid) regulations
- Communication and casualty care
- Low blood sugar
- Asthma
- Poisoning
- Bleeding (minor and severe)
- Resuscitation (adult CPR)
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries
- Seizures (adult)
- Burns and scalds
- Severe allergic reaction
- Chest pains (including heart attack)
- Shock
- Choking (adult)
- Spinal injuries
- Eye injuries
- Stroke
- Fainting
- Unconscious casualty
Prerequisites
In order to complete an ITC First Aid At Work Level 3 (QRF) Refresher training course, delegates must hold:
- An ITC First Aid At Work Level 3 (RQF) certificate (or an equivalent)
