Leading industrial training provider, AIS Survivex, has appointed a new business development manager to support key clients and companies across Tees Valley.

Adam Armstrong, aged 31, from Hartlepool will be based at the company’s newly launched Middlesbrough training centre and will be responsible for supporting clients across Tees Valley with all their training needs. 

As well as helping existing clients, Adam will be promoting an extensive portfolio of wind, oil and gas, construction, processing, and industrial courses to Tees Valley businesses and those further afield to address skills shortages and help the region develop a highly skilled, safe, and competent workforce now and into the future.

Originally hailing from Cramlington, Adam, who is married with one child, has a solid background in training and education having worked in senior roles for some of the world’s most well-known companies.

Most recently as industrial skills trainer in the Middle East for Saudi Aramco, responsible for developing and delivering health and wellness training to the world’s largest commercial fire department.

Prior to Saudi Aramco, Adam was business consultant for the UK's largest health & wellness awarding body, Active IQ, where he was responsible for expanding the company’s training scope into overseas territories such as the Middle East, Europe, and the Far-East. 

Adam’s first priority will be to establish strong links with local employers to help identify skills and training needs and provide tailored, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions. 
 

Transforming Training with Technology 

AIS Survivex, which is part of the 3t Energy Group (3t), is the UK’s largest energy sector training provider and has some of the industry’s most prestigious names as clients including bp, Wood, Siemens and Bilfinger. 

Through 3t’s portfolio of companies Adam will also be able offer ground-breaking digital services such as VR, digital twins, e-Learning and Learning Management Software (LMS) to Tees Valley businesses, as part of a fully integrated training solution. 

The company is committed to the Tees Valley region having recently opened a joint venture fire training facility with neighbouring County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service to train offshore workers in offshore firefighting skills. 

This new Middlesbrough centre will be its seventh UK location, with other flagship training centres in Aberdeen, Newcastle, Manchester and London.
