With dozens of jobs up for grabs in 2023, wind turbine installation and servicing specialist, Global Wind Services (GWS) chose AIS Survivex in Newcastle to kick off its first recruitment tour for four years.
The first event took place on 6th December with a second in Manchester on 7th December to showcase the work of GWS and to help the company identify potential future talent for its business, which includes vacancies for 132 wind technicians next year.
Employing around 1,850 people globally, GWS is one of the largest companies in Europe offering onshore and offshore installation and servicing of wind turbines all over the world. The company has several high-profile global wind projects in the pipeline over the next years and requires a regular intake of new employees.
More than 120 aspiring and experienced wind technicians turned up to the Newcastle event with numerous follow-up meetings due to take place in the coming months. As well as people with no experiece keen to get into the wind industry, the event attracted experienced wind personnel with skills such as blade
