Train The Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is accredited and approved by SSPC.
The training has been developed by industry experts in response to the strong demand for certifications within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working on road, rail, oil and gas programmes to obtain professional specified certificates.
SSPC Train The Painter has three modules including:
Delegates will be awarded with an Orange, Bronze, Silver or Gold card depending on the modules completed and experience in protective coatings.
Course Overview
Protective Coatings Applicator is a mandatory module of the SSPC Train The Painter programme.
The course is delivered as a combination of e-learning and practical training. Delegates will complete the e-learning elements of the course remotely from a smartphone, desktop computer, laptop or tablet prior to the 1-day practical training which is delivered at AIS Training's fabric maintenance centre.
PLEASE NOTE: Delegates must have access to a device and an internet connection to complete the e-learning elements of the course. Upon booking delegates will be registered for the e-learning elements of the course which must be successfully completed prior to attending the practical training sessions.

Prerequisites
In order to complete the Digital Train The Painter - Protective Coatings Applicator module delegates must:
SSPC Train The Painter
Route to bronze card
You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator.
Route to silver card
You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR Spray Painter.
Route to gold card
You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND Spray Painter.
Please Note
Upon successful completion of the Digital Train The Painter - Protective Coatings Applicator module, delegates will be awarded with a bronze card or an orange trainee card.
To be granted the bronze card delegates must have worked in the protective coatings industry for more than 1600 hours.
If 1600 hours have not been completed, delegates will receive an orange trainee card. This can be upgraded to the bronze card if an employer provides evidence of work to SSPC. Further information can be found on the Train The Painter website.
