ECITB Technical SBT Tests

Technical Testing with the associated ECITB certificate of achievement plays a key role in validating a candidates skill, ability and job knowledge in a specific task or activity. Each Technical Test contains 10 questions and a practical activity on the specified test. These tests are grant aided for ECITB registered employers.

ECITB Knowledge Tests

A Knowledge Only Test takes place at an ECITB approved Test Centre and typically lasts one hour. It is important before attending the test session to revise your knowledge of the subject area.

Hydraulic Engineering Systems Design and Advanced Troubleshooting

The Hydraulic Engineering Systems Design and Advance Troubleshooting course is suited to those who have completed the Hydraulic Engineering Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting course. Course content includes design of hydraulic systems, advanced troubleshooting and closed loop proportional hydraulic control systems. The course includes six workshop based training sessions, covering component considerations, closed loop proportional control systems and troubleshooting to reinforce classroom training.

Hydraulic Engineering Fundamentals

A three day course suitable for students with no prior knowledge of hydraulic engineering. The Hydraulic Engineering Fundamentals Course is an introduction to fundamental hydraulic principles, giving a basic grounding in hydraulic symbols and circuits, familiarisation with common hydraulic components and an introduction to filtration and cleanliness. The course includes workshop based training sessions to enable participants to gain practical experience, as well as regular assessments to check progress and understanding.

Hydraulic Engineering Failure Analysis and Trouble Shooting

A three day course aimed at students with a basic understanding of hydraulic engineering. The Hydraulic Engineering Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting course is suited to those who have completed the Hydraulic Engineering Fundamentals course. It builds on the basic information and introduces participants to failure analysis of pumps and valves, working with hydraulic systems, troubleshooting and open loop proportional hydraulic control systems. The course includes five workshop based training sessions to fully reinforce the concepts delivered during classroom based training.
