Escape chutes are used as a means of escape, where fitted, from offshore oil and gas installations and vessels. The aim of this training programme is to give students an understanding of the Norwegian Sector escape chute system used in the industry and practice their use as a means of tertiary escape from offshore installations and vessels.
Course Objectives
The escape chute training (ECT) meets the following objectives:
- Awareness of the type of escape chutes used on offshore installations and vessels in the Norwegian Sector
- Theoretical and practical training in the safe techniques for escaping through an escape chute.
- An understanding of the required actions when exiting an escape chute.
Pre-Requisites
Delegates should possess a valid BOSIET/FOET certificate prior to completing the Norwegian Escape Chute.
