ITC Emergency First Aid at Work Including Electric Shock is suitable for personnel who require a first aid certificate with emphasis on the requirements for those working around electricity.
Delegates will gain the knowledge and skills required to act as a first aider in the workplace.
Course Objectives
Delegates completing an ITC Emergency First Aid at Work Including Electric Shock training course will be able to;
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assess an incident
- Deal with unconscious casualties
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Deal with a casualty who is choking
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is bleeding or suffering from shock
- Recognise minor injuries and illness (such as small cuts, minor burns and slinters) and take appropriate action
- Manage a casualty with injuries arising from electricity
