OPITO Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM) Further
Every offshore oil and gas platform or drilling rig will have an emergency response team ready to react in the unfortunate event of an emergency situation.
OPITO have established specialist emergency response standards to ensure offshore emergency response teams respond safely and effectively.
Course Overview
OPITO OERTM Further training gives offshore emergency response team members (OERTMs) the opportunity to practice and maintain the skills required for their role.
Delegates will have the opportunity to perform aspects of their role they cannot reasonably practise offshore.
Course Objectives
Delegates completing an OPITO OERTM Further training course will be able to;
- Build on the skills and knowledge from initial HERTM training
Course Content
An OPITO OERTM Further training course includes;
- OERTM Further theory training
- OERTM Further practical training in emergency response
Prerequisites
In order to complete an OPITO OERTM Further training course, delegates must hold:
- A valid and in-date OPITO OERTM certificate OR OPITO OERTM Further certificate
PLEASE NOTE: This course is delivered by Offshore Training Newcastle (OTN) at Newcastle International Airport Training Academy or Vital Fire Solutions in partnership with AIS Survivex at County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre.
