NEW GWO SLINGER SIGNALLER TRAINING
AIS Training has been approved by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) to deliver its new slinger signaller standard.
AIS Training is one of the very first organisations worldwide to be accredited for the new standard, which was only introduced at the beginning of October 2019. Having been delivering rigger and banksman slinger industry-approved qualifications for the oil and gas sector for several years, AIS Training is extremely experienced in this area of training.
GWO’s new standard was created after a review of training certificates revealed hundreds of wind workers required slinger signaller qualifications. The two-day GWO Slinger Signaller course is wind-specific and provides a minimum standard to ensure safe lifting during manufacturing, installation and maintenance of wind turbines and their components wherever crane operations are necessary.
AIS Training is the UK’s largest GWO training provider. This course is the latest GWO standard added to its extensive portfolio, which now includes the full complement of GWO mandatory and specialist training.
All courses are delivered from the company’s Renewable Energy Training Centre of Excellence at its state-of-the-art 20-acre training village in North Tyneside.
