Newly formed technology and training group, 3T Energy Group, has appointed a new vice president to help deliver its ambitious global growth plans.
Gavin Ames, aged 46, will be responsible for strengthening existing customer relationships across 3T, as well as expanding the Group’s global reach in territories including the Middle East, South America, and Asia.
Gavin has a wealth of experience in the downstream oil and gas sector having worked in senior executive roles in the Middle East and North Africa for the past 15 years. Prior to 3T, Gavin headed up the Saudi Arabia operations of switchgear manufacturer, Lucy Electric, and before that was chief executive officer for the AA Turki Group (ATCO) and General Manager for RISAL growing its industrial and pre-commissioning business from a $5m - $45m turnover operation.
Gavin joins 3T Energy Group as Vice President of Global Growth and Strategy and will be an important part of the senior leadership team driving the Group forward.
3T Energy Group combines the expertise of advanced simulator developer and manufacturer, Drilling Systems with leading industrial training provider, AIS, to bring a radically different approach to energy sector training. This approach uses cutting-edge technology such as simulators, e-learning, virtual reality and integrated software, alongside traditional training methods, to enhance the skills, knowledge and performance of energy sector personnel.
The new Group has ambitious growth plans, which include strategic global acquisitions and three new UK training centres in the next two years.
