20-year-old, Tommy Crass is celebrating after securing his first offshore job in the oil and gas industry thanks to AIS Training.
Tommy always wanted to work offshore so after leaving school signed up for AIS’s traineeship programme. The 16-week programme gave him industry experience and invaluable skills which could be used in the global oil and gas industry.
After successfully completing his traineeship, Tommy went into a series of catering and shopfitting jobs until he could save up for the training he needed to start his offshore career.
Now he has completed his basic offshore training with AIS and is preparing for offshore life, after scooping a catering job aboard an oil-rig.
Tommy said: “Without the help and support of AIS Training, I wouldn’t be in this position today about to start a job on an oil rig. I’ll be earning three times as much as I was, with loads of potential opportunities in the future. Thank you AIS!"
