First Courses for New Aberdeen Centre

AIS Training has welcomed the first delegates through the doors of its new £1m state-of-the-art training facility in Aberdeen.

Delegates have successfully completed a range of courses including rope access training, working at height, confined space, first aid, rigging, banksman and fork lift truck handling.

The world-class facility, which is located at Kingshill Commercial Park, has been developed to give delegates an extremely realistic learning experience, better preparing them for working in the field. As well as a range of specially constructed working at height and renewables platforms, the bespoke centre features confined spaces, rigging and lifting structures, skids, scaffolding and industrial plant and fabric maintenance training areas, all of which simulate industrial environments.

The world-class centre also includes seven high-tech classrooms installed with the very latest IT, a central relaxation break-out space and a large changing area where delegates can prepare for their skills courses.

Paul Attrill, AIS Director of Training and Education, said: “We are delighted that we are now open for business at our second facility in Aberdeen.

“As the oil and gas sector starts to pick up, our investment in state-of-the-art training facilities will ensure our clients avoid issues of the past like skills shortages and have a skilled, knowledgeable, talented and well prepared workforce to take advantages of the opportunities as they arrive.”
