Leading manufacturer and trainer, AIS has appointed Adam Sinclair as business development manager to raise awareness of its world-class products and services across Scotland.

Based within AIS’s state-of-the-art Aberdeen centre, Adam, aged 38, will be responsible for promoting the company’s extensive training and competency portfolio, as well as its multi award-winning insulation and fire protection jacketing systems – used by the oil and gas, petrochemical and heavy industry sectors to protect against the spread of fire and subsequently reduce overall energy and maintenance costs.

Adam has a wealth of relevant experience having joined AIS from training provider, Falck Safety Services, where he was responsible for developing and managing business relationships within the oil and gas sector for the past seven years, including large global clients.

Prior to Falck, Adam worked as sales and marketing manager for North Sound Radio in Aberdeen for six years and was crowned top UK salesman due to the volume and quality of his client relationships. The Aberdeen-born, dad of two also has experience of the retail and construction sectors having worked in these in the early part of his career.

Adam’s first priority will be to get to grips with AIS’s extensive product and services range, which includes more than 200 competency and training courses approved by the world’s leading training bodies, as well as innovative insulation and passive fire protection products such as the Jet Fire Pro, which is the thinnest and lightest jet fire protection jacket on the market at only 35mm thick.

Adam said: “I am delighted to be joining AIS, which has an excellent reputation for developing cost-effective, innovative new products and services for the oil and gas sector and industries such as renewables, maritime and construction. The company has a huge range of industrial solutions and I’m currently getting up to speed on the numerous ways we can help businesses, such as AIS’s newly launched Connect programmes which ‘connect’ industry with young talent and inspire and prepare youngsters for the workplace. I’ll really looking forward to helping the company build on its phenomenal growth and success.”

Head of Operations at AIS, Paul Attrill, said: “Adam has a fantastic track record in securing new business and developing strong client relationships. We are very pleased that he has decided to join us and want to welcome him to our growing team in Aberdeen.”
