AIS has been proving its reputation as an industrial solution provider after helping one of the world’s most iconic brands prepare for future expansion into the nuclear industry.
Initially approached AIS to help with confined space training for a team of staff working on a unique project.
The highly confidential project involved mimicking the containment of nuclear waste to identify the best and safest way to handle nuclear waste as it degenerates over time. By testing materials and systems and upskilling its team well in advance, the client could be sure of being ready to take advantage of the huge future opportunities offered by the growth of the nuclear industry.
Following an onsite audit, AIS designed and delivered a confined space training course onsite in the actual working environment where the team was working. However AIS also identified a need for manual handling and first aid training, as well as specialist rope access equipment, which was supplied by the company’s online retailer, AIS Direct.
This holistic solution ensured that the client’s personnel were trained to the highest standards, with the exact specialist skills and equipment needed to deal with this unique environment.
The client was delighted and commented: “AIS Training’s approach was outstanding. The company didn’t just deliver what we asked, they looked at the challenges we were facing and provided a complete solution that answered exactly what we needed and more. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.”
Chris Appleby, business development manager at AIS, said: “We aim to work collaboratively with our clients to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet and exceed the brief.
“Training on-site meant we could make the training ultra-realistic. The client’s project team were trained in the actual environment, using the exact equipment purchased through AIS Direct. In this way the team could move into the real life situation with nothing new to them or anything changing.”
