Offshore Medical inc. Fit To Train (0.1 Days)

Every offshore worker must pass an OGUK offshore medical examination which classifies them as medically fit to work in the offshore environment. 

Anyone using Compressed Air - Emergency Breathing Systems (CA-EBS) also requires a Fit To Train certificate.

GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) Combined (3.0 Days)

GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) combined provides the skills to safely access and rescue a casualty from the hub, spinner, inside blade, nacelle, tower and basement section of a wind turbine generator.

Delegates will learn to use industry standard recue equipment and techniques that exceed those of GWO Working at Height.

The ECITB High Risk Confined Space course covers primarily enclosed and potentially hazardous working environments.

OPITO Combined BOSIET (3.0 Days)

OPITO combined Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) training provides an understanding and awareness of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations. It is often referred to as 'offshore survival training'.

This course includes Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) and Emergency Breathing System (EBS), sometimes referred to as a rebreather. This is considered the international BOSIET requirement.

Norwegian Escape Chute (Daytime - Package) (0.2 Days)

Escape chutes are used as a means of escape, where fitted, from offshore oil and gas installations and vessels. The aim of this training programme is to give students an understanding of the Norwegian Sector escape chute system used in the industry and practice their use as a means of tertiary escape from offshore installations and vessels.

Shoulder Measurements (0.1 Days)

All personnel who travel by helicopter to an offshore installation are required to have their shoulders formally measured by a specially trained person.

Anyone who hasn’t had their shoulder width measured will be classified automatically as Extra Broad (XBR). This restricts the seats you’re permitted to sit in and therefore can mean that you won’t be allowed on certain flights.

Offshore personnel may be nonimated by their company or sponsor to complete a fitness test for their job role.

The Chester Step Test is a tried and tested means of gauging fitness by measuring the ability to recover from exertion.
