OPITO Application of Insulation Systems Training (Level 1)
Application of insulation is designed to protect the environment, equipment and persoonnel, control noise, redice energy costs and increase process efficiency.
The insulator's route to acheiving OPITO training and competence certification is comprised of the following stages:
- Initial training
- Work experience
- Competence assessment
Course Overview
OPITO Application of Insulation Systems Training (Level 1) provides an understanding and awareness of the variety of tasks and hazards found while fitting insulation systems on oil and gas installation.
Delegates will be given a series of explanations and demonstrations which will identify what they are expected to know and do in their role as a fireproofer. This will be followed by practical exercises which will allow delegates to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and understanding of the insulator role.
Course Objectives
Delegates completing OPITO Application of Insulation Systems Training (Level 1) will be able to;
- Understand appropriate thermal, acoustic, cryogenic, personal protection and passive insulation systems
- Fit insulation systems to pipework, equipment and structures
